Reducing Reoffending, Transforming Lives.
LandWorks is an independent charity providing a supported route back into employment and the community for people leaving prison or at risk of going to prison. Our model is structured around a 'working day' providing participants (we call them trainees) with vocational training in our sustainably operated market garden, wood workshop and pottery studio, all of which offer produce for sale to the local community. They are also involved in onsite maintenance and small building projects. Alongside this core training, we provide practical resettlement support, counselling and wellbeing activities to increase self-worth, encourage self-responsibility and help them rebuild their lives.
Since LandWorks was founded in 2013, we have supported over 200 trainees, of whom fewer than 6% have gone on to reoffend within one-year and 94% are now in employment.
